Customers require circular openings for plumbing, duct work, fencing and electrical installations. Core drilling can be completed in almost every diameter from ½” up to 60” in diameter. Concrete block, solid concrete, asphalt, brick, and steel are all able to be core drilled. Floors and walls are the most common structures to core but requests come in for other structures as well. Core drilling is typically completed using a wet process. If water is an issue, smaller holes can be completed using a dry coring process. If a special angle is required, our operators can setup their core rigs to accurately achieve multiple angles. Extreme depths can be achieved from a number of methods. Michigan Concrete has drilled holes up to 120’ deep for the purpose of testing bridge columns.
